The Red Bud Tree blossoms are long gone and spring is in full force with the flowers blooming and trees leafed out. We finished out the last week of April with entertainment by the Barbershoppers and on Friday afternoon we celebrated with a Wine & Cheese Party. Pop singer Joe Powell entertained in dining room Monday night. Wednesday evening we gathered for the Reminiscing Hour to enjoy some refreshments and talk about "The Good Old Days" when we were much younger. Oh, some of the stories that come to surface! Thursday we loaded the van for a trip to Waterloo, IL to visit the new Monroe County History Museum for the first time to view their displays. During April, May and June they are featuring Bridal Displays, some very old. The Western Memorabilia Display of a stage coach, chuck wagon, etc. was more fascinating to the men. Friday night Charlie and the Girls were here to entertain and Monday we had The Piano Man.
We now have a small "Quilt" that's ready to be mounted on the frame and the ladies are invited to try their skills. When finished it will be used as a "lap cover".
