BLOSSOM CITY BLOG

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Delores Braun upon the death of her daughter Joyce Zeiger this past week.

Independence Day, also knows as the 4th of July, is past. In spite of the persistent rains which washed out many planned celebrations, we at Garden Place had a fun day. It started with a traditional barbecue lunch consisting of burgers, potato salad and baked beans and ended with evening entertainment by "The Piano Man". Following the music we enjoyed refreshments-"kettle corn", watermelon and even snow cones! Everybody had a good time eating and socializing.

This was the 233rd birthday of our nation and it is important to pause and consider the risks and sacrifices of our founding fathers so that we can live in a free nation. As a WW-II veteran I would like to honor the service of our brave men and women of our armed forces who are still in harms way to make sure our country remains a free nation. We salute you!

We always look forward to hearing the RSVP Singers who will perform Tuesday at 2pm. We are proud to announce the booking of a famous Nashville personality, TERRY ROBERSON on Friday night at 7pm. Terry has been associated with famous performers like Marty Haggard, Johnny Paycheck and presents a program of country/western and his own brand of cowboy poetry. As always the public is invited -free!
