BLOSSOM CITY BLOG

Need Mobility? We believe we may be able to help those of you who need assistance with mobility with power chairs and scooters. In order to assist you in your journey of decision making at this time in your life, Garden Place, Red Bud, IL is providing a "Mobility Product Fair" Monday July 20th at 7:00 PM. This is a fun and informative activity that includes door prizes with refreshments and a good time, open to the public and current residents.

This past week we were entertained by the RSVP Singers, of which our own resident Doris Cobb, a retired member, joined in with her fine voice. We were very fortunate to have Terry Roberson perform on Friday night. Singer, song-writer and cowboy poet, Terry has been taking the Midwestern stages for the past twenty six years, performing country as well as western music (songs of the American cowboy) and his own original brand of cowboy poetry. Terry and his beautiful wife, and business manager, Pam have performed and traveled the Midwest from Oklahoma City to Nashville (Grand Ole Opry) to the St. Louis area where they now live on their small horse ranch. We're looking forward to his return.

This week Bob Tyler and his electronic piano will be here on Wednesday afternoon to entertain and help Frances Schroeder and Ethel Fadler celebrate their birthdays. As usual the public is always welcome at these functions.

I used to work with Terry, and ended up getting his CD. He is very talented, whether doing his songs or those beautiful cowboy classics. He is also one of the kindest people I've met. I'm so glad you got to meet him and see him perform. :)
